How does upgrading my plan work?
How does downgrading my plan work?
Downgrades are scheduled to take effect on your next billing date rather than immediately. This gives you uninterrupted access to your current plan features until the end of the period you have already paid for.
If your storage is within the limits of the plan you are downgrading to, the downgrade is straightforward. Your plan switches on the next billing date and everything continues normally. If your storage is approaching or exceeds the lower plan’s limit before that date, pay as you go storage will activate automatically and any excess will be added to your next invoice.
If your storage already exceeds the downgrading plan’s limit at the time you schedule the downgrade, you have two options. You can delete enough files to bring your usage within the new plan’s limit, or you can enable pay as you go storage, so the excess is simply billed monthly without interrupting your content. If pay as you go storage is already enabled on your current plan, you can schedule the downgrade without any additional steps regardless of your current usage. Bandwidth resets monthly so it has no impact on the downgrade process.

Storage is a persistent cost rather than a monthly reset, so it works slightly differently. When pay as you go is enabled, any storage used beyond your plan’s included allocation is added directly to your monthly invoice rather than drawing from a wallet.
A few important things to know. Storage overages are counted per calendar month, not by the exact duration a file was stored. If you upload 10GB of files and delete them the following day, that 10GB still counts toward your usage for that month. However, if you then upload another 10GB later in the same month, it merges with the first rather than doubling. Storage is also billed with complete precision — if you use less than a full GB, you are charged the exact proportional amount rather than a flat per-GB fee. You only ever pay for exactly what you use.
