We are Skippz

Skippz was born from a problem we lived for years. Running two digital marketing agencies, working alongside other agencies here in Australia, and serving customers around the world, we kept hitting the same wall with video: prices that shifted, costs that were impossible to predict, and limits that turned hosting into a bottleneck right when a campaign was working. It frustrated us, and it frustrated our clients.

We had something most agencies don’t: an in-house development team, and a founder who has always lived in the R&D side of the work. In 2023, a client project involving on-demand video and interactive live streaming gave us deep, hands-on exposure to how video really works on the web, VOD and live alike. We went into the nooks and crannies of delivering video, and we fell for the craft of it.

We also saw something plainly. The big platforms gate and overcharge for things that could be fair, and they treat the core of the service as a lever. We don’t accept that.

This is what we believe, and the value we live by: video hosting and delivery should never be a lever to force an upgrade, and never a limit on a business, a creator, or a small team. The core should never be held hostage, and growth should never be penalised.

So we built the alternative, deliberately. In May 2025 we launched first with BYOK, giving customers the tools they were missing on top of infrastructure they already trusted, and we learned everything we could from that first group. In November 2025 we committed to the harder path: a complete hosting and delivery platform built on that same principle. We turned down early funding to stay lean and keep the people shaping Skippz close to the work, and close to our customers.

There is still so much to build, and we are listening at every step. We believe the platforms that last are built on trust, reliability, and a real love for the problem, not on profit alone.
